[midPoint] Searching by NAME in connector

Is there a way to get a connector to search by NAME instead of UID 
through the executeQuery() method? I see some connectors like the Box 
connector reference getting a search via NAME, but I don't see how that 
happens. I'm trying to build a simple connector for DocuSign, and almost 
everything uses the unique id, except for finding a single user. For 
that I need email address, which I have mapped to NAME.

So is it possible to trigger the query to via NAME? And if so, how?
