[midPoint] shadow issues

Hello,
We have an issue we are hoping you can help with.
During a job to import 1.4 million records for 1 resource we put the other resources into maintenance mode. We believe this cause delete operations to be request on another resource(scripted connector) to which we do not have delete rights, and there is no delete script configured.  This has corrupted 29k shadows, preventing a reconcile on the records. If we delete the shadow, and reimport, and relink then everything starts working again, but this will be very labor intensive.  Is there a better way to resolve this issue. Forced shadow refresh does not help
