[midPoint] Midpoint Targeted Import by Resource Attribute

I have come across the need to do a targeted import of resource objects. I
am able to reference the identifier in the filter, e.g. attributes/name, but
I would like to filter on other attributes that exist on the account. When I
look at the shadow, it seems that only the identifier is cached on the
object. Is it possible to search by another attribute without specifically
caching it in midpoint? If so, any examples would be greatly appreciated.
