[midPoint] OperationResults when using import reports

Hello Chris,

The import report tasks are somewhat limited at this moment (prior to midpoint version 4.4) in lacking some statistics and reporting capabilities. This will change with the new release in the version 4.4. General information regarding the operation progress (and operation statistics) and additional reporting capabilities will be extended. A possibility to dump a report with the list of objects and the operational result with additional information will be present as well.

With the earlier versions ( e.g. 4.3) you should be capable of viewing at least the aggregated result information present in the “Result” tab of the import task, this should also hold the result of objects which ended in error. Additional information can be found also in the “Audit log viewer” which can be found as part of the “Reports” main sidebar sub option in the GUI.

Subject: [midPoint] OperationResults when using import reports

Hi all,

Just wanted to see if anyone knows whether I can improve the output when using import reports ( [ https://docs.evolveum.com/midpoint/reference/misc/reports/configuration/#import-report | https://docs.evolveum.com/midpoint/reference/misc/reports/configuration/#import-report ] ). The task result output from the examples is pretty much non-existent (administrator does not know whether a particular update was successful or not). Even simple checks like whether the CSV input data is ok don’t seem to occur. The task runs leaving the user in the dark about whether it was successful or not.

Any ideas appreciated.

Regards,

Chris
