[midPoint] REST interface

Hello,

I'm interested in possibly using midpoint behind the scenes to integrate a few standalone apps authentication/authorization use management.  I noticed in the wiki there were references to a REST api but I didn't find any documentation regarding that API.  Where would be the best place to look to get information regarding it?
