<p>this looks like a bug in midPoint.</p>

<p> However, midPoint 4.2 is no longer supported. If you'd like to
have this bug fixed (eventually), I recommend you to test it on
the master branch, and if it's present there, create a JIRA issue
- with the "No subscription (community)" status. Ideally, with all
the files needed to reproduce the issue locally.<br>

<p>Of course, this does not guarantee it will be fixed. But it
increases a chance it will be.</p>

we are running midPoint 4.2 and have the issue that values from
the lookup table are not shown, when the attribute access is set
to read only. I have attached the user role. If I set the
attribute to modify, then the lookup table values were shown. It
makes no difference if I use my own extension attribute
(extension/zADAccountLocked) or a default attribute (e.g.
preferredLanguage). </div>
