<p>Also, we started to observe this after upgrade to v3.8 from 3.7.<br>

<p>What is really the problem is, I cannot modify any affected user (assign roles, etc.)! We haven't changed any password policies, only updated the links in config as was mentioned in upgrade process from 3.7 to 3.8... <br>

</p>

<p>Another thing is, I cannot ask that many users to change passwords for their accounts to work properly (modify accesses).<br>

</p>

<p>Also, could it be that some of the newly registered users can get wrongly generated password from the <generate /> function in the resouce config? -> but this affects old AND new users<br>

</p>
