Hi Lothar,

yes, you can specify custom locale, i.e., a combination of language and country/region. Please see https://docs.evolveum.com/midpoint/reference/support-4.10/admin-gui/localization/language-selector-configuration/

In your case, you would want the language `en` with a European country code, most likely `GB` or `IE` → `en_GB`, for example.

Hope it helps. Plese don't hesitate to write if you have any follow-up questions.

Best regards,

Subject: [midPoint] How to change the date/time format in GUI

Is there a way to change the date/time format the UI uses independently from the UI's language setting?

Why? I use the UI in English because that's what all the docs and examples and trainings use. In German you get all kinds of weird translations that make life more complicated for any admin or developer that be helpful (not talking about end users here).

The date format I then get is the American English nonsense though: "May 1, 2025, 2:00 PM".

I'd like to change this to a European format instead, e.g. Britsh style "1 May 2025 14:00" or "01.05.2025 14:00". Is that possible, English UI with European date/time format? If so: how/where to set it?

On a side note: would be great to see a British English language option in the UI, I'd rather see the Union Jack than Stars & Stripes all the time in the header bar these days.
