[midPoint] midPoint and SAP-HCM (SAP-HR, R/3, ERP, BAPI, iDocs...)

As far as I know, the only connector that we keep track of in our documentation, which is directly used to manage R/3 systems, is the following one: https://docs.evolveum.com/connectors/connectors/com.evolveum.polygon.connector.sap.SapConnector/ 

This said, I am no SAP expert, and I have no experience with this connector in such a deployment.

In any case, if the system is capable of creating CSV exports, you can use the CSV connector in this use case. The connector also supports multiple object classes, if you would like to handle various object types. https://docs.evolveum.com/connectors/connectors/com.evolveum.polygon.connector.csv.CsvConnector/

Hi David,

thanks a lot for the quick reply. I've already seen the connectors you mention, but unfortunately they connect to different datastores and/or different SAP products.

I'd like to understand what kind of connector(s) midPoint deployments typically use to connect to the HCM (previously named HR) component of SAP-ERP. It would be hard to imagine that midPoint cannot integrate with one of the most common HR systems in larger enterprises, so what's best practice here? If there are different approaches: what are their pros and cons?
