Hi Markus.

The default behavior keeps also disabled objects because some people appreciate having this additional information telling you the assignment was there until the given date. If you want them removed you can create a task or policy that will remove them automatically.

Nevertheless, it should be clearly visible is the assignment is active or not. Can you please create a bug report on the issue tracker support.evolveum.com? Please don't forget to describe all details for reproducing the issue. For example, midPoint version and what page is the screenshot from.
