[midPoint] Midpoint 4.6, docker and Apple M1 troubles

Hi everyone,

I’m trying to set up a midPoint dev environment using docker to provide

- midPoint-4.6 (since it’s the current LTS version)
- postgresql identity repo
- OpenLDAP or samba-domain in lieu of a real Active Directory

Trouble is that the only dev machine I have is a MacBook with Apple Silicon M1.

The midPoint-4.6 version that I can get at with ‘docker pull’ or ‘docker run’ is native for x64 processors. It runs on the M1 silicon but it’s *painfully* slow as the x64 environment needs to be emulated. The Postgresql and OpenLDAP images are running just fine in native mode.

Is there a dockerised midPoint 4.6 available for non-Intel or am I missing something in the ‘docker pull’ or ‘docker run’ stage?

I’m new to Docker and containers and everything I know about these has been picked up from the web and from https://docs.evolveum.com/midpoint/install/docker/dockerized-midpoint/, so please be gentle on me.

Thanks in advance,

-Kevin_C
