[midPoint] Introducing new contribution: Connector Gateway

Hello,

Thank you and I would like to confirm that we are looking forward to the idea of integrating this contribution into the official Java Connector Server sources. Currently, we will initiate the discussion regarding this functionality in the official connid-dev mailing lists (please see https://groups.google.com/g/connid-dev to subscribe to the list). And shortly start some development efforts for the actual integration of this feature based on the feedback we get from the community.

Please let us direct further discussion regarding this feature to the connId mail threads, so we can have the community involved as well.

I am writing to provide some supplementary information regarding the Connector Gateway project that I recently introduced to the community.

My implementation code currently wraps ConnId Java Connector Server and is being developed in a separate repository.
I would like to discuss another potential contribution approach. One such approach could involve directly integrating this new functionality into the main source of the ConnId Java Connector Server.

I would greatly appreciate engaging in a discussion with the community to determine the most favorable contribution approach for it.

Dear midPoint Community,

I am excited to introduce a new extension component for the Connector Server called Connector Gateway.
This project is currently in the early stages of development and serves as a proof-of-concept demonstration.
Connector Gateway serves as an intermediary between midPoint and resources, providing a convenient and secure access path without the need for direct inbound network routes from midPoint.

This is useful when midPoint is deployed in a cloud environment and the resources that need to be connected are in an on-premise environment, where network access is often restricted.
