[midPoint] Requesting temporary role

Hi,

There is currently no such functionality in the GUI. In midPoint 3.5 the
request GUI is completely changed to the currently fashionable "shopping
cart" method. And theoretically there may be good place for this
functionality. However it is not planned yet.

There is a way how to set validity of the role itself by using
focusMappings in metarole. But it will set validity of the role, not
validity of the assignment. I do not think this is what you are looking
for. Currently we have no functionality that can easily manipulate
assignment validity. Of course, there are still scripting hooks that can
do almost any kind of black magic, including manipulation of requested
assignments: https://wiki.evolveum.com/display/midPoint/Scripting+Hooks

And of course, midPoint is open source, therefore there are always
contribution and sponsoring options:
