Regarding creating role(s): currently there is no wizard planned for the 
upcoming release. You can use the embedded XML editor to create roles, 
or check out some samples and re-use them. The samples are documented 
and mostly use sample OpenDJ resource object.

For midPoint 2.1.1 release, the samples are here:
