  Simplify code for simulated references definitions

This commit simplifies parsing of simulated reference definitions.
In particular, it removes similar "referentialObjectDefinition"
ambiguity (hack) as in f62baf3ee7a5daf8f5f307893af5db802e9a080e.

Part of fixing MID-9932.
