  Fix value generation policy in tests

Settings in c0c010c0-d34d-b33f-f00d-999888111111 could lead to a dead
end on some occasions. The limits are now changed so that this would
not occur.

Also, some not-yet-supported settings were removed to avoid readers'
confusion.
